HAUGG received this award from Mayor Keupen and NRW Environment Minister Krischer in the Coronation Hall of Aachen City Hall. HAUGG has already achieved the climate policy goal of reducing CO2 by 65% by 2030. In a first step, electricity consumption was reduced by about 10%, e.g. through LED lights and optimised compressed air supply. 15% of the annual electricity requirement is currently produced by the company itself using photovoltaics. Since 2022, the remaining electricity has been purchased in a CO2-neutral manner.
